Which dog is this right for?

  • If your dog is a moderate chewer who gets bored alone → great fit for independent play.

  • If you want dental benefit → use it alongside regular brushing, not instead of it.

Why active fetch play matters

In 2021, veterinary guidance emphasized daily activity for a dog's joints, weight, and behavior; research-backed advice favors a soft, water-friendly disc for low-impact fetch that is gentler on teeth than hard plastic. According to the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), Choose a soft disc over hard plastic for dogs prone to dental wear (general veterinary guidance, 2021).

Enrichment keeps pets' minds sharp, their bodies active, and supports emotional wellbeing.

Gentle on mouths, great for aggressive fetchers

My 4yo Aussie Shadow is obsessed with frisbee but hard plastic ones made his teeth sore. This soft version is a game-changer — he can catch it mid-air without any dental worry. Flies really well too, better than I expected for fabric. He's worn a bit of the edge over 2 months but it's still totally usable.

Finally a frisbee I can play with safely

Golden retriever Biscuit has had 2 cracked teeth from hard frisbees in the past. This soft one has been our daily toy for 6 weeks with zero dental issues. Flies true, catches great, floats in water (bonus!). Wish I'd bought this years ago to save my poor dog's teeth.

Softer but flight distance is shorter

Good quality, no complaints on durability. Border collie Rex loves catching it. My only note: compared to a hard plastic disc, this soft one flies about 70-80% the distance. Not a huge deal in a normal yard but if you have a big field and like distance throwing, know that going in. 4/5 for gentle-mouth quality.
